Lib Dem PPCs, MPs and Activists at a Rally

Dear Shantanu,

Thank you so much for becoming a Member of the Liberal Democrats!

The General Election is imminent, so it’s more important than ever to make the most of your Membership and join our campaign.

Here’s how you can make your mark as a Member:

📌 Join the campaign locally & nationally

Want to meet fellow members nearby and get involved in campaigning, events and much more at a local level? Get in touch with your Local Party today:

Contact your Local Party  ➜

Any time you can volunteer for us will make a massive difference to our campaign, so please let us know how you want to play your part. Whether you can deliver leaflets, make phone calls or knock on doors, we’d love to have you onboard.

During the General Election, we will need all the help we can get, and you’ll be able to get involved either in your local area or we’ll ask you to go to help in your nearest target seat. Sign up today so we know who we can call upon to make a difference.

Volunteer  ➜

Once you’ve let us know how you can help - you can find all the resources you need to get involved on our Campaign Hub.

Here you’ll find recorded training sessions, campaign packs, briefings, our research, and much more.

You can request access to the Hub here:

👥 Feel Connected

Feel strongly about a certain topic, or want to meet like-minded people? We have a host of party members groups that share a particular belief, interest or cause, as well as groups brought together by shared backgrounds, identities and experiences.

Or join one of our membership-based networks like the Liberty Network, which facilitates policy discussions and events with senior party figures, or the Lib Dem Business Network - a fast-growing network of over 300 like-minded entrepreneurs and business leaders with access to monthly events offering the opportunity to meet with parliamentarians, academics and industry leaders at panel discussions, policy roundtables and social gatherings.

The stage at Confernece

Will we see you at Conference, Shantanu?

Our Spring and Autumn Conferences are two of the highlights of the Lib Dem Calendar - and we’d love you to join us for the next one!

There is so much to do at Conference - watch or take part in important debates, hear speeches and Q&As with party leaders and MPs, attend fascinating fringe events and valuable training, and of course now that you are a Member, you can vote on our policy too!

And on top of all that, Conference is great FUN! With an exciting opening rally, several social events, and the opportunity to come together with fellow liberals and meet friends, old and new!

Find out more about Conference, and register* here:

Conference  ➜

*Registration for Spring Conference usually opens in November and Autumn Conference in February each year. Please check our website for the latest information.

Or maybe you want to stand in an election as a Liberal Democrat candidate? As a Member you can - although you will need to go through an application process before getting on the ballot.

It doesn’t matter that you’ve just joined - you can apply to become a candidate at any stage of your membership, so if you’re interested, find out more today!

Become a Candidate  ➜

Want to make a difference locally? You can also stand as a Local Party Officer and help run your local party - AGMs are normally held at the end of the year, find out more here.

You’ll also get a say in who we choose to represent us as candidates, and you’ll be eligible to vote in future internal and leadership elections.

💼 Work for us

Want to get even closer to the action? Come and work for us! We frequently advertise paid and voluntary roles across all levels of the party, suited to those with a wide variety of skills and backgrounds!

Work for us  ➜

As you can see, there are many different ways you can get actively involved within the party.

Although we would love to have as much help as we can with our campaigns, we know that campaigning isn’t for everybody. If you’re not able to help out in this way - don’t worry, there are still ways you can feel a part of the action.

We’ll be sending you more information about how you can connect with us online and from home, tomorrow.

Best wishes,
